We are extremely happy to announce that our Asian Elephant cow Temi is pregnant. Trained eyes might already have noticed our eight-year old’s pregnancy, after all, she is already in her 10th month, which is about half-term. We expect Temi, who came to Munich from the zoo in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde in 2006, to give birth in about May 2011. This will be the first calf for this still quite young elephant cow.
